COMMUNISM - THAT BAD?
Before you croak or make assumptions, read on
I honestly think it's a generational thing but I really cannot comprehend the "evil" in Communism.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking aobut theoretical communism, which has many merits but is impractical (as clearly shown around the world) because of unchangeable human nature.
No, I'm talking about the "evil" of Communism as a threat to America.
What makes communism evil? Note, saying "Stalin" doesn't count. Stalin was evil and would have been without Communism.
It's not even a generational thing - it's a half-generational thing. People in their late 30s, just old enough to be in their teens and aware in the early- to mid-1980s, go nuts about communism. Is it as simple "still swallowing the propaganda" as one comentator at Calpundit said in response to this post?
Either it's a generational thing or my time in England sheltered me from the Reagan years where America may have been portrayed as constantly under threat. I haven't seen that, though.
