BLOND AND HARMONIZED GETTING IT RIGHT AGAINST THE RIGHT email@example.com

SOMETHING WE CAN ALL AGREE ON
Finally. Finally. Finally. Pretty much everywhere I've read thinks money for Mars is money lost in space.
The bold ideas are:
• Science station on the moon
• Scaling back the Shuttle and International Space station programs (and money for them. (PS you're going to need some kind of Shuttle-like ship to get to Mars)
• 5 percent increase in NASA budget (excluding above programs). It's $15.5 billion now. It'll be $15,810,000,000 (billion) in 2005. It'll be $16,600,000,000 in 2006 and $17,430,000,000 billion in 2007. Raw numbers and compound figures used and not counting for inflation.
And everwhere on TV they talking heads are calling it a bold initiative. Because bold is much more unbiased than "money that could be better spent elsewhere."
