Bird Dog: BUSH GOODER THAN KERRY'S BADNICITY

In a post obviously inspired by the
NY Post whack job/hit piece (read this rather interesting related Scopes urban legend breaker) written by Howie Carr who on his site recomends Lucianne.com and FreeRepublic so you know he's a OK.), BDog tries to follow the careers paths of John Kerry and George Bush.

His main points seem to be (to right wing sites) that Kerry is lazy, gets money he doesn't earn, was only slightly injured in Vietnam during what Bird Dog says was only four months there, so you know, not much of a war record (never mind the saving the man's life story that Kerry "lies" about by bring the man (a Republican) on stage with him. Not Dole "crippled hand" injured. Not Max Cleland injured. Heck he didn't even have the graciousness to die.

Or was that Bush he was talking about. I got confused - and had to take a bath afterwards.

Perhaps the most straighforwardly dumb line of Bird Dog's piece over at Tacitus is:
[Kerry] received a lifetime rating of 5 (out of 100) from the American Conservative Union and a lifetime average of 93 from the liberal Americans for Democratic Action.

How does this travesty of partisan ranking happen?

The rest isn't so much dumb as worthless. A lot of work to say, essentially that neither one deserves our vote. Except he doesn't say that. He says, by examples, that George is obviously the better man.

And the commentators there are happily pulling apart most of his so-called facts. I've copied what he had in case he decides to change them without warning, Andrew Sullivan style.

Kerry doen't have a war record to be proud of, according to Bird Dog. He just came back and complained about other soldier's dying. Typical bleeding (Purple) heart liberal.

One good thing, though. He provided a link to a PDF of Kerry's 1971 testimony before Congress. here.

By the way, I'm a Dean supporter but slime is slime and i don't like when it's thrown.
