GOP spends against GOP

The
Log Cabin Republicans (complete with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon on the front page) are going to spend $1,000,000 in an ad campaign (view commercial here - Windows Media Player format, wtf, I thought gays were ahead of the trend).

Hmm. Wonder if that $1 million could have been used to further the GOP cause? Wonder whether George W. Bush Junior cares? Yes and no.
Please help Log Cabin Republicans defend our sacred Constitution.  We have launched a million dollar campaign to prevent discrimination from becoming part of our nation’s Constitution.  The centerpiece of this campaign is a television commercial now being broadcast in Washington, DC and in swing states around the nation.

The anti-family Federal Marriage Amendment represents the biggest threat to gay and lesbian civil rights of our generation.  If any anti-gay amendment becomes part of the U.S. Constitution, thousands of families for generations to come will be treated as second class citizens.  If we fail to do everything possible to stop this  amendment, future generations will wonder why.

Log Cabin’s $1,000,000 campaign, including television and print ads, a comprehensive lobbying effort, and our grassroots mobilization plan, create a powerful tool for stopping the attempt to write discrimination into our sacred Constitution.
