Rieckhoff Speaks For Many

Though Army National Guard 1st Lt. Paul Rieckoff
spoke against the political leadership conducting the war in Iraq in Saturday's (May "Mission Accomplished" 1) Democrat radio response to the president's radio address, I still don't think he reflects the view of the majority of the soldiers.

However, I think there a few thousand like him who still remain in activity duty and do not have the freedom to speak out publicly about what they see as going wrong.

Rieckoff (also a former Wal Street investment analyst) wrote every word and may not even vote for Kerry. But he wanted a forum to express his worries.

And his "Our troops are still waiting for more body armor. They are still waiting for better equipment. They are still waiting for a policy that brings in the rest of the world and relieves their burden," statement puts the shut up to that pathetic ad that says Kerry voted against body amor for the soldiers. (And Bush has to say "I approved of this ad" right before the pathetic attempt. I like that requirement.") They still don't have enough of it and the families who bought it for their loved ones still aren't getting paid back for their purchase.
